Mideasta is a boutique consulting firm based in Washington DC.

We provide quality and specialized consulting services to government and corporate clients with vested interests in the Middle East, as well as to Middle East partners in the U.S.

Mideasta acts as a trusted liaison between our U.S. and Middle East partners to build & enhance their strategic, diplomatic, cultural, and business partnerships. 

We seek to serve our partners in four core areas: Strategy, Finance, Media, and Culture.

OUR STORY

Founder

Seraje Assi, PhD

Seraje Assi is the founder of Mideasta Consulting Services. He holds a Ph.D. in Arabic and Islamic Studies from Georgetown University, where he served as a Visiting Fellow at the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding for three years. He has also served as a visiting professor of Arabic & Middle East Studies at various academic institutions in the United States, including Georgetown, American University, and George Mason University. His research on the Arab World and the Middle East appears in various academic publications, including Cambridge University Press, the International Journal of Middle East Studies (IJMES), and Routledge. 

Dr. Assi has presented at high-level conferences in the U.S. and abroad, notably the White House Summit on Counter Violent Extremism (CVE), and the United Nations Conference on the Question of Palestine. His opinion articles appear in major media outlets in the U.S. and the Middle East, including the Atlantic and the New York Times. He has made several guest analyst appearances on TV. He publishes in both English and Arabic. He is a native speaker of Arabic and Hebrew. 

Dr. Assi is the recipient of several awards, notably the National Interest Waiver for Postdocs, the Social Science Research Council Fellowship, and the ACMCU Visiting Scholar Fellowship.
