What is Cultural Sensitivity?
Cultural sensitivity, or cultural awareness, or cultural intelligence, or cultural competence, is a process whereby organizations can operate more effectively across cultures, thus increasing their capacity to understand, appreciate, and adapt to the culture in which they operate and conduct their business.
Cultural sensitivity is an effective tool to cope with sensitive issues in the new cultural environment, such as racial discrimination, sexism, and ethnocentrism.
Cultural Sensibility also involves enhancing the company’s record of diversity, equity, inclusion, and internationality within its business abroad.
